I eat here regularly, there is always a good selection of "something different" on the special board which is amazing. They serve gluten free food as well, the food is always served hot, highly recommend. Danielle the manager and her staff are always polite and friendly.

Came for lunch only. Roast was very nice and 2 for £20. Staff very friendly and attentive. Only issue is the toilets and doors, all need a really good clean, and maybe sort out the wall paper that is lifting. Small carpark but is free

Just had my mum's wake here and they were wonderful. The buffet food was really nice and more than enough. I would really recommend this place for similar events. Staff were awesome

I come here for breakfast and lunch all the time, the full English is delicious, and the staff are so accommodating you can substitute stuff on your plate, For lunch I'd recommend the all American jacket potato, I thought it would be a small portion but it was huge plate and delicious They also do events like taco Tuesday. And quiz night Sunday. The place is so clean and the staff are ultra friendly I will always be coming back. The prices are super reasonable for the quality of the food.

We went for lunch and had the lamb pie with leak mash. It was stunning, cooked to perfection and I had pancakes with banners and maple syrup, as it was the day after and everything was lovely and all was delivered in a very timely manner. The staff are super friendly and accompanying. 5 stars

Went for a family birthday meal, all of us had different meals and all meals came out hot, some members of our group had dietary requirements and these were all dealt with efficiently. We all enjoyed our meals and I highly recommend going there for something to eat. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

The good: It's a bargain - you can book direct on their website for just £45. Check in was easy and friendly at the bar. I was given a good sized room with a high beamed ceiling, a four poster bed and ensuite. Kettle with coffee and tea provided. They also provide a bar of soap and towels but I'd suggest taking your own toiletries, or pop into Aldi next door. There's plenty parking spaces, it's minutes from the motorway and the pub has a nice feel to it with reasonably priced food and large servings. The not so good: The room was a little tired in places and the top of the four poster bed canopy was extremely dusty - but no big deal unless you disturb it. Single glazed window meant traffic noise was more noticeable but I still had a reasonable sleep. The hair dryer looked ancient, I'd suggest taking your own. Overall: I thought it was a bargain and for just one night it suited my needs perfectly. For £45 it actually exceeded my expectations and those not so good points can be forgiven. At the time of booking I couldn't find anything bigger than a shoe box, for less than £60, in a 10 mile radius.

Incredible value food. Really tasty and a decent portion. Rooms are a bit odd in that they are accessed directly from the car park (old stable block) but otherwise great value for money!

Had a Christmas meal with friends. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly & food was delivered promptly with just the right gap between courses. The only negative comment is that the table next to us were very loud, which got worse as the evening went on, but that's not the fault of The Crown.
